Arrival and Departure
Glan-Y-Don generally has a change over day of Friday between Easter and October, depending on bookings. Between November – Easter, subject to availability, arrival and departure days can be flexible.
Glan-Y-Don will be available from 4pm on the day of your arrival until 10am on the day of the departure. If you would like to arrive earlier please contact us. For short breaks times may be varied to suit.
Please do contact us a few days in advance to give us your approximate arrival time.
Location
Glan-Y-Don is situated on the North East coast of Anglesey, in the picturesque village of Moelfre. There is a general store and bakery (which has the yummiest bread), post office, pubs, café & restaurant and craft shops, as well as an active Lifeboat Station and Sea Watch centre.
Glan-Y-Don is located right opposite the charming cobbled beach, which is ideal for rock pooling, exploring or just sitting and watching the world go by. It is also on the Anglesey coastal path, great for walking, fishing, bird watching and exploring the coastline.
Lligwy beach, is less than a mile away and has a wide sandy beach with a café and car park. Boat launching is available here (for a fee) or at Traeth Bychan, another beach nearby.
In Glan-y-Don you are ideally situated to discover the beautiful, historic Isle of Anglesey, with its castles, historic houses, beaches, lakes and numerous other attractions.
Glan-y-Don is also ideal for exploring the rest of the North Wales coast, Snowdonia and the National Park.
Dogs
By prior arrangement, dogs are welcome in Glan-Y-Don at a cost of £25 per dog per week (max 2 dogs). We ask that you bring the dog’s bedding with you. Please do not allow your dog to climb on any furniture or beds. Dogs must not be left alone in the house at any time. At the end of the holiday all traces of dogs must be removed from inside and outside.
Cots/High-Chairs
Cots can be hired at a cost of £10 per week. High chairs are provided free of charge
Please let us know in advance if you require any of these, so we can make sure they are available in Glan-Y-Don when you arrive.
Smoking
Glan-y-Don is strictly a no-smoking property. You are welcome to smoke outside, where ashtrays can be provided. Please do not leave any traces of smoking around the property.
Parking
Car parking is available at Glan-y-Don for one car. If you have another car, there is parking available nearby.
Shopping
If you require an online shop to be delivered prior to your arrival, please contact us to discuss. We can take care of your delivery and store it before you arrive. Waitrose, Tesco, Asda and Iceland, can all deliver to Glan-Y-Don.
Guests’ Responsibilities
All guests are expected to take reasonable care of Glan-y-Don and leave it in the same condition as found on arrival. Guests are responsible for any breakages, damage or extra cleaning, as well as the costs associated with these, which are caused by any of the guests staying in the apartments, and must be reported on departure. By the Sea reserves the right to ask for monies to cover the cost of repair or replacement. All our properties are cleaned and checked between each letting.
Every care is taken to ensure Glan-y-Don is presented to guests at a high standard. Please notify us as soon as possible after arrival if there are any problems. If problems arise during your holiday, please notify By the Sea immediately so these can be resolved effectively and efficiently. No complaints will be accepted once the holiday has finished.
Only those named on the booking form may stay in Glan-y-Don, unless prior arrangements have been made with By the Sea.
